I developed this lesson plan for Julia Alvarez’s historical fiction novel, In the Time of the Butterflies, using Cucchiara’s (2018) 3L’s Learning, Language, and Literacy framework, as a model lesson flow for the English Language Development (ELD) teachers I supported as an ELD Partner for Tulsa Public Schools.
